CLOCKED IT MATE: Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room

Palindrome Syndrome: Escape Room is one of those free Amazon Luna games I’ve been collecting for ages without ever actually playing. A sci-fi escape room seemed like a fun way to spend an evening, so I finally gave it a go.

You wake up on a spaceship with no idea who you are or what’s going on, and from there it’s a case of solving puzzles, finding clues, and unlocking new areas.

The puzzles were generally good fun. Most felt challenging without being unfair, and I enjoyed working my way through them. A few had me completely stuck, but in hindsight that was usually because I’d missed a clue somewhere or was trying to do things in the wrong order rather than the puzzle itself being bad.

The story didn’t really land for me though. It was there, and it gave the puzzles a reason to exist, but I wasn’t particularly invested in finding out what happened next.

I finished it in a little over two hours and came away enjoying the experience overall. If you like escape room games, there’s plenty here to keep you entertained. If you’re looking for a gripping sci-fi story, maybe not so much.
